Fall Festival, Vendor Show Benefits Therapeutic Riding Program
The Childrenâs Fall Festival and Vendor Show will be held at Mitchell Elementary School in Woodbury on Sunday, September 26, from noon to 4 pm. The event will benefit the Little Britches Therapeutic Riding Program.
The Childrenâs Fall Festival will be held rain or shine. Admission is $5, with children under 12 admitted free of charge. Tickets for games, food, and chances to win baskets donated by local businesses and community members, will be for sale.Â
There will be childrenâs entertainment on stage in the gymnasium from 1-2 pm. Childrenâs games, arts and crafts, story time, and pumpkin painting will be included. The Rolling Video Game Van, a tractor trailer filled with childrenâs games and staff to assist the children, will be on hand for the entire event. A police car, fire truck, and ambulance will be in the parking lot, and local emergency services personnel will be on hand to teach children about these vehicles, and how they do their jobs.Â
Adults will have an opportunity to shop at more than 20 vendors set up in the gym. Amber Alert cards, provided by Union Savings Bank, will be available for all families. Food will be for sale in the cafeteria, where there will also be a bake sale and a tag sale.Â
All proceeds benefit the Little Britches Therapeutic Riding Program which provides therapeutic riding lessons to children with special needs. Little Britches is a non-profit, 501 C3 organization which has provided these services to our community for more than 30 years. Â
