Art in Residence Gallery is presenting its first off-site exhibition this month and next at C.H. Booth Library.

On view until July 31 is “Artists of New England,” featuring works in various mediums by Aria Brownell, Lee Brownell, Barbara Courtian, Aline LaPointe, Katya Lebrija, Glen River, Laura Wilk, Bette Anne Wygant, and Virginia Zic.

An opening reception, with the opportunity to meet the artists, will be celebrated Saturday, June 21, from 2 to 4 pm.

“There will be lots of sugary delights for our guests and of course all the delectable art,” promises Rosemary Rau, who co-owns and operates Art In Residence with her husband Robert.

The library is at 25 Main Street, and the collection can be viewed in the lower meeting room any time the library is open and the room is not in use: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am-8 pm; Friday, 11 am-5 pm; and Saturday, 9:30 am-5 pm.

Art In Residence Curator Rosemary Rau describes “CAKE,” a large oil painting by Aria Brownell, as “fat with color and fun capturing a party.”
