Snapshot for november 1 issue : Stacie Hebert

STACIE HEBERT

Occupation: Buyer/designer for Christmas and Gift Departments [at Lexington

Gardens]. I've worked here ten years - since my 16th birthday.

Favorite item at Lexington: The Department 56 Villages, a collectible. They

come out with new pieces every year and retire pieces every year. People are

insane about them. That's really what I do a lot of.

How long in Newtown: Since 1979. I moved in February to Southbury.

Biggest change in town: The traffic! It's terrible. We were all talking about

it this morning. It took them 30 minutes to get from Sandy Hook to up here.

Too much traffic with all this construction.

Family: My dad, Bob Hickey, and my mom, Gail Hickey, and my sister, Jodee.

They all live in Newtown. My husband, Jeff - we've been married since June 29.

He's a tile and marble contractor, self-employed. We're looking for a house

now in Newtown, Southbury, or Woodbury.

Pets: No. Except, we're infested with ladybugs. I live in Southbury right now,

in an apartment. I guess Southbury gets them really bad. My mother-in-law says

they only come to happy homes, that they're good luck. After the first couple

of ladybugs, I said, "Okay, we have enough happiness!"

Hobbies: I like everything - skiing, hiking, biking.

Favorite food: Bread. Ask anybody who knows me. All I eat is bread.

Best movie you've seen recently: It wasn't the best movie, but we saw Thinner

by Stephen King. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I like scary

movies.

Personal philosophy: As long as I have my family, and my friends, and my

health - that's all I really need. And everything else will fall into place.
