The Gunnery announced that Katherine G. Danziger achieved high honors and Benjamin L. Greenfield achieved honors for the entire school year.
Chase Collegiate School, formerly St Margaretâs-McTernan, has announced that tenth grader M. Scudder Baggett received honorable mention status for the spring trimester. Sixth grader Andrea Nazer-Paniagua achieved faculty honors for the spring trimester.
Sheila OâConnor has been named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Sheila is a junior majoring in music education.
The following students have been named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester at Syracuse University: Christine Shannon, a junior majoring in illustration, and Rosemary Ziemann, a sophomore majoring in interior design.
Colin Curran and Larisa Zaleta have been named to the Deanâs List at Providence College for the spring semester.
Christopher C. Giacolone has received Faculty Honors for the spring semester at Trinity College.
Erin Lynn Moulthrop of Sandy Hook has been named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester at Bentley College. Erin is majoring in corporate finance and accounting.
Cynthia M. Allen has received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
Area resident Brian D. Shepard recently earned an associate degree in surveying technology from Paul Smithâs College. Brian was also named to the Deanâs List for the spring semester and was named an Adirondack Scholar.
Monica Middleton, daughter of Frank and Rosa Middleton of Sandy Hook, received her master of science degree in occupational therapy from Sacred Heart University on July 15. Monica completed her fieldwork at Danbury Hospital and at Childrenâs Hospital in Hartford.
Monica attended St Rose School and Immaculate High School. After graduating from high school Monica attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she graduated with a degree in psychology.
During her last year at Sacred Heart University, Monica implemented and directed a gymnastics program for autistic children at Dynamite Academy of Gymnastics in Waterbury. This new program is the only one of its kind in the eastern United States and in just a few months expanded to serve students from across the state. The results of her work including the views from the parents regarding the improvements in their childrenâs physical and social skills were recently featured in a report on WTIC Channel 61 News.
