Long-Term Care Luncheon

EASTON —The Easton Public Library is sponsoring a program on long-term care issues on Tuesday, March 2, at noon in the library’s conference room. The workshop will be conducted by Jessica Donahue, a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors. 

Ms Donahue will define long-term care, discuss the costs of long-term care facilities, and explain long-term care insurance options.

Recent studies indicate that the median cost of a semiprivate room in a licensed nursing home in Connecticut is $129,062 per year. Therefore, it is not unusual for the cost of long-term care to consume an individual’s assets in a short period of time.

The workshop will answer questions and aid in planning for the future.
