Arturo’s Mexican Restaurant at 68 Stony Hill Road in Bethel is celebrating Cinco de Mayo, Tuesday, May 5, with lunch and dinner specials, lots of giveaways, T-shirts, hats, drinks, and Jell-O shots available. A mariachi band will be playing from 5 to 10 pm

In other Bethel business news, Bethel Music Center opened in November of 1984 in a 400-square-foot location at 103 Greenwood Avenue. Eventually, BMC grew to occupy the entire lower level, as well as the basement area.

In early 2008, the store moved to its present location at 273 Greenwood Avenue next to the Bethel Cinema. The new space is more than 3,600 square feet and offers expanded programs and products that meet the needs and interests of every type of musical enthusiast.

The public is invited to celebrate the store’s 25th Anniversary June 6 with live music, giveaways, a huge sale, and refreshments between 10 am and 5 pm
