Two Opportunities To Learn About Yoga
Two Opportunities To Learn About Yoga
WOODBURY â Woodbury Yoga Center will offer Family Yoga Days on Sunday, July 15, and Saturday, August 18, from 2 to 4 pm.
These programs will offer an opportunity for the whole family to learn about yoga together. Activities will include chanting and dancing with instruments, yoga postures, a taste of guided relaxation and meditation, age-appropriate conversations about yoga, meditation, using breath for controlling emotions, and, weather permitting, a nature walk.
Yoga develops good coordination, posture, strength, and offers healthy tools for releasing tension, anxiety, and pent-up energy.
Woodbury Yoga Center offers classes that are suitable for all ages and levels, novices to experienced practitioners. Those new to yoga (even for the first time) may experience the powerful but subtle connection between body, mind, and breath in a supportive atmosphere.
For more advanced students, programs offer the perfect setting and opportunity to deepen the practice. All classes are taught by professionally trained and experienced teachers in a clean, comforting, and respectful environment where each studentâs well-being is the primary concern.
Since its inception 22 years ago as a nonprofit education facility, Woodbury Yoga Center continues to enjoy the freedom of its sole focus on providing quality instruction in the traditional time-honored teachings of the science of meditation and yoga, setting itself apart from other for-profit businesses. WYC is a tax-exempt not-for-profit educational institution under Federal Statue 501(c)(3).
Located at 122 West Side Road, the center can be reached for additional information by calling 263-2254.
