Rica M. Manna, 92, of Ridgefield, wife of the late Ardoino âJackâ Manna, died March 24 at Bethel Health Care. Mrs Manna was born in North Salem, N.Y., September 24, 1914, a daughter of Antonio and Emelia (Casavecchia) Torcellini.
Mrs Manna is survived by three sons, Robert E. Manna and his wife, Linda, of Newtown, Ronald A. Manna of Bethel, and John P. Manna and his wife Barbara, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a brother, Donald Torcellini and his wife, Yolanda of Ridgefield; a sister, Dina Casavecchia of Ridgefield; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Richard Manna, predeceased Mrs Manna.
An area resident all of her life, she attended Ridgefield schools and was a member of St Maryâs Church. A homemaker, Mrs Manna enjoyed cooking and sewing, as well as being an avid reader.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on March 29 in St Maryâs Church, Ridgefield. Burial followed in St Maryâs Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Bethel Health Care Residentâs Recreational Fund, 13 Park Lawn Drive, Bethel CT 06801, or to the Visiting Nurse Association, 90 East Ridge, or to the Meals on Wheels Program, 25 Gilbert Street, both of Ridgefield CT 06877, would be appreciated.
