Merging Youth And Family Agencies

Planning Mardi Gras

Newtown Youth Services, in association with Family Counseling Center, is planning the agency’s annual dinner dance and auction. This year, the theme of the event is “Madly Marvelous Mardi Gras ‘07” and the event will be held on March 24 at 7 pm at the Stone Barn at Whitney Farms Golf Course in Monroe. 

Tickets are $50 with sponsorships available for $350. A full page program ad is $250, and business card ads are available in the program book for $50.

The event will raise support for the many family-focused programs, as well as new positive youth development activities. Funds will also be applied to supporting FCC’s state-licensed counselors, who provide therapy to individuals, couples, families and groups. 

The two agencies have been improving the quality of life in Newtown for a quarter-century and expect to be fully merged by July 1. The merger has been in the implementation phase since last year, and once completed, will allow a greater percentage of funding to go directly to services for the community.
