Shabbat Across America

DANBURY — Once again, Congregation B’nai Israel in Danbury will participate in Shabbat Across America – when Jews across the United States and Canada gather for a worship service and Shabbat dinner on March 31.

This is the fourth year of Congregation B’nai Israel’s participation in this program. As in past years, the evening will include Rabbi Vivian Mayer’s Kabbalat Shabbat (Welcome to the Sabbath) service, followed by a traditional Friday Night dinner. A special feature this year will debut B’nai Israel’s hot new quiz show, “Who Wants To Be A Minyanaire?” (group of ten for prayers).

This special Shabbat will begin at 6 pm. Everyone is invited – singles, couples, families – all ages, neighbors, friends and co-workers.

The cost for a full dinner is $15 for adults, $7 for children. Send reservations and checks payable to Congregation B’nai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Danbury, CT 06811 by March 24.
