Entrepreneurial Network Luncheon Will Be About Blogging
NORWALK â Blogging, like branding, is storytelling. Compelling stories create loyal readers and clients, but how do entrepreneurs develop fresh ideas to sustain a loyal readership?
The Entrepreneurial Womanâs Network luncheon invites business professionals to learn some creative techniques designed to harness creativity, develop stories, and tap into concrete specifics that can be turned into compelling blog posts.
Featured speakers at the February 16 event include Robin Horton, founder of Urban Gardens (www.urbangardensweb.com), a green lifestyle and design blog that showcases innovative and eco-friendly designs, trends, and ideas for stylish urban gardens and small spaces.
Urban Gardens is the recipient of the Platinum Creativity Award, the Garden Writers Association Gold and Silver Awards, and was nominated for a Webby.
James Navé will also present. He has traveled the globe as a spoken word poet, strategist, and creativity consultant. He has taught at The Artistâs Way Creativity Camp in Taos, N.M., as well as Artistâs Way Creativity courses at The New York Open Center.
The luncheon is Thursday, February 16, from noon to 2 pm at the Dolce Center, 32 Weed Avenue. Cost is $30 for members; $39 for nonmembers. Register by noon on Monday, February 6, at www.ewn-ct.org; walk-ins are not accepted.
The Entrepreneurial Womanâs Network (EWN), based in Fairfield County, is a not-for-profit organization devoted to developing the business talents, capabilities, leadership and skills of entrepreneurial women. Founded in 1982, the group provides information, activities, and support to members grow their businesses and run them more effectively.
EWN also provides a network that fosters the willing exchange of information with other entrepreneurial women who share similar experiences. Additional information can be found on the website.
