Abstract Landscapes At The Library

Sandi Randall has lived most of her live in New England, and like many lifelong residents of the region this area has affected her outlook.

A collection of Ms Randall’s work will be on view at C.H. Booth Library during July. The works will be in the Olga Knoepke Memorial Room, and can be viewed during regular library hours. The library is at 25 Main Street in Newtown; telephone 426-4533.

A painter, Ms Randall prefers to work outside, close to nature. She finds many vistas that give her work its distinctive palette. Her landscapes, acutely rendered, are culled from the area’s rough juxtapositions and are best described as abstract realism.

Ms Randall has won numerous awards in juried shows. Her works have been accepted into events hosted by The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN); Fine Line Art Gallery, Woodbury; Kent Art Association; New Milford Historical Society; Richter Association for the Arts, Danbury; Aetna Institute Gallery, Hartford; North Shore Art Association in Gloucester, Mass.; and Contemporary Artists of New England and New York, among many others.

She is a member of Arts Alive Studio of Cheshire, Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, North Show Art Association and Mystic Art Association.

Her work is represented in corporate and private collections. It was recently featured at The Friars Club in New York City.
