Evelyn Skidmore

Evelyn M. Akridge Skidmore, 89, mother of Richard M. Skidmore of Newtown, died

August 21, at Danbury Hospital. A lifelong resident of Danbury, she was the

wife of the late George W. Skidmore.

Mrs Skidmore was born in Danbury on November 12, 1905, a daughter of Isaac H.

and Harriet E. Willis Akridge.

She is also survived by a brother, Robert Akridge of Washington, D.C.; a

sister, Marie Taylor of Brookfield; a granddaughter; and three

great-grandchildren.

Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Graveside services were held the morning of August 24, in Wooster Cemetery,

Danbury, with the Reverend Crawford H. Harmon officiating.

Hull Funeral Service, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.

Ethel and John Crouch

A memorial service will be held at the Newtown Congregational Church, on

Saturday, August 26, at 9:30 am for Ethel D. Crouch, who died June 29, and her

husband John L. Crouch, who died August 8.
