Yacht Club Commodore

Fred Cisko of Newtown has been elected as the new commodore of historic

Pequonnock Yacht Club on Bridgeport's harbor in ceremonies that included

presentation of a new club burgee.

Pequonnock Yacht Club was founded around the turn of the century when private

boating began to flourish with the industrialization of the greater Bridgeport

area. Mr Cisko said the club will begin researching its own history and that

of the harbor as the first element in a series of continuing activities and

special events marking the long history of the Pequonnock Yacht Club in

boating activities on Long Island Sound.

Elected to serve with Commodore Cisko were Vice Commodore Michael Mascisco of

Shelton and Rear Admiral James Gulash of Stratford.
