Celebrate Poetry Month

At The Library

In celebration of April’s National Poetry Month, local resident Ginger Humeston, will present “Pockets of Poems,” a workshop designed to celebrate ways to inspire and nourish the soul, Tuesday, April 13, from 10 am to noon. Ms Huemston has led other workshops at the library providing participants with the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic outlets, from dreams to drawing to meditation to journaling.

This workshop springs from the book, Pocket Poems by Bobbi Katz. A specially designed skirt with more than 25 pockets sewn around it, each of a different fabric, will be used as a “prompt” to have fun, look at pockets in a new way, experience joy, think outside the box, write some poems, and share.

Enjoy a delicious brunch, as well, and the company of others.

The program is free but space is limited. Please register at chboothlibrary.org or call 203-426-4533.
