BPW To Feature Shelley Berman

Shelley Berman, a social worker, counselor, and motivational speaker, will be the guest speaker at the Monday, May 1, meeting of Business and Professional Women at the Inn at Newtown.

Ms Berman will speak on “Cultivating and Harvesting the Power of Positive Perspective.”

Ms Berman is the assistant director of social services at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. She is involved in advocacy issues, counseling, and many other services. She trains and supervises other social workers and encourages them to use art and dance therapy, especially with children and teenagers.

The meeting will begin at 6 pm with networking. At 6:30 pm, installation of a new slate of officers will take place. The slate includes Ann LoBosco and Laura Mayer as co-presidents; Pushpa Kapur, first vice president; Lisa Chaloux, second vice president; Monica Pitruzzello, treasurer; Shelley Kappauf, assistant treasurer; Marge Kopsco, corresponding secretary; Doreen Kelleher, recording secretary.
