Entries were accepted in two age-based groups: Primary, grades kindergarten through second and intermediate, grades three and four. Entries were also accepted under and six different categories: Literature, Visual Arts, Photography, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film/Video.
This year, writing pieces by second grader Abigail Stites, âThe Monkey And The Turtle,â and fourth grader Rebecca Alicea, âDiversity Meansâ¦â were selected in the literature category.
First grader Sarah Ruhs and third grader Taegan Smith were chosen for their visual arts entries, âDiversity Means Lots Of Animalsâ and âA Rainbow Of People.â
In the Photography category, the winning selections were created by second grader Siena Harper, âDogs And Cats Are Great!,â and fourth grader Maddie Stites, âA Whole New Way To Look At Things⦠Inside Out.â
Fourth grader Leah Lewisâs âFireworkâ was selected in the dance choreography category.
First grader Stephen Wengart was chosen for his music composition titled âDiversity Means.â
In the film production category the winning entry âDiversity Meansâ was created by fourth grader Rebecca Alicea.
Second and third place awards were presented to Jackson Baimel, Joshua Deveau, Melissa Tagliarini, Olivia Cornett, and Zack Majeski for Visual Arts; Maddie Stites and Isabel Llopis for Literature; and Alexandra Hunter and Maddie Stites for Photography.
