Library Plans A Party
Friends of the Library are planning a party to celebrate the grand re-opening
of the Cyrenius H. Booth Library. Now all they need is a date.
The plan right now, according to librarian Janet Woycik, is to hold a
nighttime library gala along Main Street complete with music, tours and
speeches. Afterwards, the organizers have planned an evening of dinner and
dancing at the Mary Hawley Inn. At $75 a plate, library supporters can attend
the dinner fund-raiser, which will help defray the costs for furnishing the
21,000-square-foot addition.
Construction continues on the library expansion/addition project. The job,
originally slated for completion in June, may not be completed until early
July, possibly later. Like the library, the Mary Hawley Inn's renovation work
has also been delayed.
Mrs Woycik is hoping for between 100-150 people at the fund-raiser.
