Selectmen Hike Non-Union Pay

The Board of Selectmen Monday night approved salary increases averaging three

percent for non-union town employees.

First Selectman Bob Cascella said the increases ranged from 2.8 to 3.2 percent

for non-union employees including department heads, the police captain and the

assistant financial officer.

The non-union raises were set after personnel evaluations performed by the

first selectman.

The selectmen unanimously approved the transfer of funds required to implement

the salary increases. Selectman Gary Fetzer asked Mr Cascella to provide him

with a list of the employees and the amount of their raises. Mr Cascella

agreed to do so.
