SHANGHAI FINE JEWELRY AND ART FAIR OCTOBER 12–21 w/1 cut

ak/gs set 7-9 #705868

SHANGHAI, CHINA — The Shanghai Fine Jewelry and Art Fair (SFJAF) will be hosted at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, for ten days, October 12–21. This is the first full-scale international fine art fair to be held in China, featuring top works from around the world and from different historical periods. It offers a unique chance for the Chinese art-collecting public, art enthusiasts, as well as visitors from other countries in Asia, and around the world, to purchase international museum-quality pieces at this extraordinary venue.

Sixty of the world’s top art galleries will come together to share their passion for art. All exhibitors’ pieces will be vetted by an independent panel to ensure that all works are of suitable quality for the SFJAF.

The level and quality of the works presented will be exceptional; during the ten days it will be possible to discover and acquire contemporary or antique works of art as well as fine jewelry, ancient art, paintings and drawings — modern and contemporary art will all be represented.

Highlights of SFJAF will be a charity gala dinner organized by Hurun Report, the world reference for the China Rich List, which is scheduled for October 17. The vernissage, the private viewing party for personalities of the Chinese and international art world, offering an opportunity to get a first look at the art and the fair, will be held October 12, from 3 to 10 pm.

Crossing East and West, the architecture of the Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC) reflects the city’s history; it was built by the Russians in 1955 as a sign of friendship with China. Located in the heart of the city, the design for the show will be one of the most challenging and intricate in the history of exhibitions held at SEC.

The Shanghai Exhibition Center is at 1000 Central Yan’an Road. For more information, www.sfjaf.com.
