Screaming Pancakes Returning For ‘365 Plays’

Playwright Suzan-Lori Parks wrote a play a day for a year, from November 13, 2002, until November 12, 2003. The plays are collectively called “365 Days/365 Plays,” and theater groups across the country are now in the process of presenting these plays. The presentations are part of a collective effort called The 365 Festival. The festival began on November 13, 2006, and will continue until November 12 of this year.

Screaming Pancake Theater, who performed their debut production of David Mamet’s Boston Marriage last month to rave reviews, will return to Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook this weekend to present their offering in this project. The group – director Mike Bolinski and actors Kelly Boucher and Jenny Schuck – will perform one week’s worth of (short) plays on Saturday, February 24, at 8 pm. Mocha is on Glen Road in Sandy Hook.

Screaming Pancake will also perform the same plays on Sunday, February 25, at 3 pm, at Molten Java Coffeehouse, 102 Greenwood Avenue in Bethel. Admission is free for both performances.
