You may drop in at the Senior Center on Riverside Road in Sandy Hook weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm. A hot meal is served at noon for which you must reserve three days in advance.
Newtown has daily door-to-door minibus service Monday through Friday. Buses also run all day from the Senior Center to Sand Hill Plaza. On Fridays, the bus alternates between rides to Danbury Fair Mall and Berkshire Plaza in Danbury (to Wal-Mart Route 6). Cost is 65¢ each way for the Sand Hill Plaza trip, 75¢ each way for out of town. Call 748-2511 TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE to book a ride and get the out-of-town Friday schedule.

*AARP INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE available on Mondays only through April 9, 9 am to noon by appointment only. Bring last yearâs tax return and any other pertinent information. Call 270-4310 to set up an appointment.
*COMPUTER LESSONS are given every Monday and Tuesday at 3 pm.
*On Tuesday at 10 am and 1 pm, make CARDS FOR THE TROOPS serving overseas.
*POT LUCK GATHERING Tuesday, April 3, from 4 to 6 pm. Dinner choice is ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, coffee/tea and dessert. Cost is $3.

*BOARD GAME DAY is every Thursday at 1 pm. Coffee or tea and snack will be supplied.
*MOVIE TIME on Fridays at 1 pm. Enjoy a good âfavoriteâ movie with a friend. We supply the video and popcorn.
*CRAFT CLASS on Thursday, April 5, at 1 pm, make a floral arrangement for the Easter dinner table.
*ANTIQUE ROAD SHOW produced by Harrison Galleries will take place April 10, at 1 pm. Limit one item per person.
*Our young people and adult volunteers will help with spring cleaning, yard work, window washing or other basic chores on INDEPENDENT LIVING DAY, Saturday, April 28. Call to sign up.

*LARRY GATLIN and the GATLIN BROTHERS at the Mohegan Sun on Wednesday, April 11. A buffet lunch is included. Depart the Senior Center at 8 am; cost is $69 per person.
*MADAMA BUTTERFLY will be presented by the New York City Opera at Lincoln Center Sunday, April 22. Butterfly is sung in Italian with English supertitles. Lunch is included at Les Sans Sulottes. Departure is at 8:30 am. Cost is $160 per person. Final payment is due.
ITALIAN FEST at Mount Haven Resort, in the foothills of the Poconos, only an hour and a half by bus. Complete breakfast and dinner buffets and live entertainment of Italian music. Cost per person is $66. Depart at 8 am.
*Tour The CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA Thursday, May 31, in Hyde Park, N.Y., enjoy a Northern Italian cuisine at Caterina De Medici, and then onto Millbrook Vineyard in Millbrook, N.Y., for a wine tasting. $82 per person; bus departs at 8 am.
*THE ROCKETTES at Radio City Music Hall on Friday, November 9, with lunch at Rudyâs. Early booking special, $105 per person.
