Michael Palmieri

Michael Palmieri, 76, of Bridgeport, died on April 17 at St Vincent’s Medical Center. He was the husband of Nancy Telesco Palmiere of Bridgeport and the father of Charlene Calandro of Sandy Hook.

A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Dominic and Martha Manjoney Palmieri.

Mr Palmieri was a US Navy veteran of World War II. A retiree of the General Electric Company, he was a member of the General Electric Quarter Century Club.

Besides his wife and daughter, survivors include two sons, Michael Palmieri and his wife, Theresa, of Stratford, and Robert Palmieri of Bridgeport; a daughter, Diane Martell and her husband, John, of New Milford; a son-in-law, Dan Calandro of Sandy Hook; a brother, Anthony Palmieri of Trumbull; a sister, Margaret Salvana of Fairfield; six grandchildren, Jodi, Michael, Alan, Andrew, Jenna, and Jamie; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services took place on April 19 from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, to St Patrick’s Church, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
