Talk On Personal Appeal At Working Women’s Forum

The next Working Women’s Forum will feature a talk by Ruth Sherman, an internationally recognized authority on strategic speech and interpersonal communication. According to Kelly Urso, WWF spokesperson, Ms Sherman is expected to deliver a dynamic and information-packed presentation on methods for becoming a successful and skilled marketer of self and ideas.

As a consultant to corporate, political, and celebrity clients, the featured guest will provide evidence that charisma is not inborn, but learned and that anyone can gain the skills necessary to get the results they want in any setting.

Ms Sherman will cover ways to develop personal appeal that makes people want to listen to what you have to say; to avoid behaviors undermining women’s messages and their ability to deliver them; the three myths that keep women from getting what they want and need in their careers; identifying the six steps one must take to develop persuasiveness and charisma; and pinpointing the three most effective communication devices that anyone can use.

The program is set for Monday, March 5, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road, Sandy Hook. Networking begins at 6 pm, with dinner and the speaker at 6:30.

Reservations can be make by calling 364-1667 or emailing rsvp@workingwomensforum.net. The program and dinner fee will be $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers.
