DANBURY — The hot trend in reality TV continues to be watching everyday people become glamorous models. And, physicians at Danbury Hospital are getting into the act at Rx for Fashion: Refill to take place April 25 at the Portuguese Cultural Center, beginning at 6:30 pm.

Twenty-four physicians, including Newtown residents Sarah F. Baroody, MD, and Michael Baroody, MD, John J. Borruso, MD, Eitan S. Kilchevsky, MD, Philip I. Kotch, MD, Jo-Ann Maroto-Soltis, MD, and Robert M Soltis, MD, of Newtown will join three guest models strutting their stuff down the runway wearing the latest fashions from Mitchells of Westport.

The event also features dinner catered by Bernard’s and a live auction including: landscaping pond by Dreamscapers valued at $10,000, a week in Ireland, a Boston weekend including tickets to Yankees v. Red Sox and more. Sponsored by Phil Fiore, Jr, and Merrill Lynch, Rx for Fashion: Refill is a fundraising event organized by the Danbury Hospital Development Fund Associate Board.

“This event was a big success last year, and the members of the Associate Board are ready to outdo themselves this year,” said Grace Linhard, vice president of the development fund. “What makes this event unique is the physician participation, and the team at Adam Broderick Salon & Spa have once again graciously agreed to donate their time and talent in order to make our models look even more fabulous.”

Models include members of the Danbury Hospital medical staff, administration and Associate Board. Tickets for this event are $125 per person.

Proceeds from this event will help create a clinical training center at Danbury Hospital. This center will offer Danbury Hospital’s clinical staff a simulation-based training environment where a variety of clinical conditions can be replicated to ensure the best patient outcomes.
