Managed Care Ombudsman Program
HARTFORD â The new State of Connecticut Office of Managed Care Ombudsman opened last week. The office was created by the legislature to assist the 1,700,000 Connecticut citizens enrolled in managed care resolve their problems with the managed care system in Connecticut.
This new state agency has three full-time advocates to help citizens with problems, managed care plan selection issues, understanding the patientâs rights and responsibilities, and teaching them how to be their own advocate within the managed care system.
