P&Z Approves Resubdivision
Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) members have approved a two-lot
resubdivision in the Black Bridge Farms residential development on Farm Field
Ridge Road in Sandy Hook.
Without opposition, P&Z members May 1 approved the resubdivision requested by
Samaha, LLC.
The resubdivision cuts the 3.2-acre Lot 6 into two building lots.
Before the vote, P&Z member Thomas Paisley said a neighboring property owner
has voiced concerns about the development project. But, he added, Samaha's
application appears to meet the land use regulations.
If Samaha cooperates with the neighbor, it can position a planned house where
it has the least impact on the neighbor, P&Z member Daniel Fogliano said.
Members then approved the resubdivision without opposition.
Douglas Samaha of Prospect applied for the resubdivision so he could build two
2,400-square-foot Colonial-style houses.
Mr Samaha withdrew his initial application for the resubdivision at a February
6 public hearing after he learned the application had some mapping
deficiencies. He later resubmitted modified plans on which a second public
hearing was held.
