18th Annual Great Pootatuck Duck Race, 10 am-2:30 pm, Sandy Hook Center, Glen Road at Church Hill Road and immediate area, $5 raffle tickets (free admission to event), ducks dropped into Pootatuck River at 2, also ongoing vendor presentations, activities, live music, food, booths hosted by local clubs and organizations, first responders, et al, presented by and annual fundraiser for Newtown Lions Club; newtownlions.com.
