‘GENE GORTS: EMERGENCE’ OPENS APRIL 20 AT GALLERY ON THE GREEN IN CANTON

CANTON, CONN. — The Gallery on The Green presents “Gene Gorts: Emergence,” on view April 20–May 20. An opening reception will be held April 28, 6 to 9 pm.

Gorts’ exhibition features flowers, fruit, vegetables and other organic matter transformed into images of simple elegance. The images are produced by using a commercial flatbed scanner and a large format digital camera; no camera is used in this process.

The Spotlight Gallery will have a show featuring Kent McCoy and Steve Stucko. Dolores Santoliquido will have a show upstairs.
