Former longtime resident Lee Rasmussen — beloved aunt, wife, sister, and friend — passed away on Sunday morning, October 6, at the age of 93, in Broken Arrow, Okla., with her niece by her side.
It is with heavy heart that her family announces the passing of Linda Nevins Trentacosta, who died at UC Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, while vising the state.
Rosalyn Chuvala was many things to many people — a brilliant mind, a supportive friend, a truly incredible mother, sister, grandma; a wise sage, a prankster. She was a deeply intuitive and spiritual person who made the lives of everyone around her better simply by her presence.
Thank you for exercising your freedom of speech. We are losing all constitutional rights because of the loud silence and the blind falling in line of so many.
Thank you for your service to all members of the Newtown community, during the past 14 years. Thank you for educating Michael and me on the many ways to help the community. You will make an excellent State Representative.
As a democrat that knows the value of loyalty and who has observed both Michelle Ku and Brandon Moore at Michelle’s recent event and at another gatherings, my family and I stand behind Michelle Ku. She has spent over 14 years actively fighting for Newtown residents and not simply a few months in order to run for a state seat. I think all the candidates are worthy of praise but I want someone who knows what new families and older residents need. I built our home in Newtown hoping our sons will return one day, after their work elsewhere winds down and during our current retirement, to raise families in Newtown. I want someone with a record of advocacy like Michelle’s but also with her sense of commitment and loyalty. I do agree that she deserves the DTC support but when a party is concerned about hurting candidates’ feelings, there is nothing you can do but put one foot in front of the other and she will do that with her usual strength, intelligence, integrity and transparency.
