The concert will take place at The Kent School Chapel, 1 Macedonia Road (just off Route 341), at 3 pm.

The Chamber Ensemble will also perform Ravel’s Sonatine in an arrangement for flute, harp and cello, and The Kent Singers’s soprano soloist will sing in Bach’s Cantata #209, with the Ensemble. Dr John King will conduct.

Kent Singers are known for their clean, finely pitched sound, and have been performing mostly a capella, under the direction of experienced members. Their repertoire includes early music, baroque, classical and modern works, both sacred and secular.

The Sherman Chamber Ensemble offers some two dozen concerts each year geared to all ages and a variety of venues in Connecticut and New York. Artistic Director Eliot Bailen and co-founder, flutist Susan Rotholz, guide the ensemble through Baroque programs, jazz-inspired concerts, bluegrass jamborees, children’s programs, school residencies and pop-rock coffeehouses. Their signature summer chamber music series has been described by The New York Times as “about as close as it gets to the Platonic ideal of a chamber music concert.”

Admission for the June 10 event is $20 per person.
