To the Editor:

 In recent weeks, I’ve seen Will Rodgers pounding the pavement to meet voters throughout Newtown. It’s to his credit he’s put the time in to listen to the concerns of local citizens at their doorsteps, and we can expect that same energy when he serves in Hartford.

 In reaching out to our neighborhoods, it’s clear he’s in touch with what we need from state government. Will’s ten years of service on our legislative council have also well-prepared him for the challenges he will face at the state capitol.

 Next week, when we choose a new state representative for Newtown, every voter must ask themselves who is best suited to be our voice on so many key issues. We can count on Will to do an exemplary job in that role.
