On Thursday, February 5, Flagpole Photographers Camera Club will host a hands-on program. “Getting To Know Your Camera” will feature an open discussion on photography tips and tricks, and improving photographs with one's own camera.

The free hands-on workshop will allow participants to handle their own camera, and practice taking pictures on various aperture speed, ISO, and point-and-shoot settings. Advanced photographers will be in attendance to assist in reviewing images and compare the results, using an assorted combination of settings.

The event will also offer the opportunity to have any questions answered by members of the local photography club.

The event  will begin at 7:30 in the meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

Flagpole Photographers is a local non-profit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, to learn and grow in their photography, and to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers. Members come from diverse backgrounds, with photographic skills ranging from beginning novices to professional photographers.

The season runs from September through June. Monthly print competitions are held at the library, as are educational programs., assigned subjects, and programs.
