The Ladies Auxiliary of Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue plans to present the second of its two annual flower sales next weekend. On Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, auxiliary members will be at the fire company’s main station, 18-20 Riverside Road, selling hanging baskets, annuals, herbs, and tickets for a Mother’s Day basket raffle.

The event will run from 10 am to 6 pm both days, or while supplies last, rain or shine.

Those planning to attend are asked to consider making a monetary or financial donation for FAITH Food Pantry. Each donation will count as an entry for a chance to win a Mother’s Day basket.

The sale is presented by and benefits the auxiliary, the support group of the fire company, which in turn donates much of its funds to local nonprofit organizations.
