Remembering Al Penovi

To the Editor:

I was saddened to read the obituary of Mr Penovi in The Bee on January 22. It brought back memories of my many visits to his shop on Washington Avenue over the years for some unique plumbing part that I needed for our house or pool.

More than once, Al happily fabricated some kind of duplicate that he said would ‘last forever’….and many did indeed!

RIP, Al!
