Tricia Florence Holleran and Derek Ryan Bobowick were united in marriage on August 15 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Monroe with Pastor Julia Haspel-Schoenfeld officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Howard and Eileen Holleran of Sandy Hook.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Dolores Bobowick of Sandy Hook.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore a sleeveless, scoop-necked, imported French silk gown adorned with pearls, with a cathedral train. Her headpiece was hand fashioned by her sister. She carried a bouquet of white roses and blue hydrangea.
The matrons of honor were Bonnie Skane of Woodbury and Heather Sfaelos of New Milford, sisters of the bride.
The bridesmaids were Kara and Kendra Bobowick, sisters of the groom, of Sandy Hook, Hilary Jackson of Sandy Hook, and Lauren Kuzara of Massachusetts.
The bridal attendants wore two piece satin/organza long dresses in hydrangea blue and carried bouquets of assorted blue and white blooms.
The best man was Peter Bishop of Atlanta, Ga.
The ushers were Todd Holleran, the brideâs brother, of Geneva, N.Y., Mark Howarth of Brookfield, Jeffrey Saranich of Monroe, and Brett Jackson and Adam Fitzgerald of Sandy Hook.
The flower girl was Danielle Skane and the ring bearer was Kevin Skane, the niece and nephew of the bride, of Woodbury.
Musical selections were sung by friends Mary Andreotta, Gina Scheiss, Jeff Jackson and Bob Schmidt. Lauren Kuzara and Hilary Jackson performed a flute duet.
The bride graduated from Newtown High School and the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science and masterâs degree in education. She is a history teacher at Nonnewaug High School.
The groom graduated from Newtown High School and the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor of science degree. He is a mechanical design engineer at Siemon Company of Watertown.
A reception was held at the Candlewood Inn, Brookfield. The bride and groom arrived by boat.
Following a wedding trip to St Lucia, Mr and Mrs Bobowick are residing in Sandy Hook.
