Developing Cognitive Fitness

Lecture At Library

Dr Rudy Magnan, teacher, author, cognitive researcher and educational consultant, will visit the C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, to deliver a lecture on “Developing Cognitive Fitness,” Wednesday, May 4, at 7 pm, in the Antiques Room.

This training program focuses on improving how the mind is used, and the untapped “intellectual capital” everyone has, which can serve in simple and complex situations where a decision, a solution, or an analysis is necessary. Faced with challenging situations at home, on the job, at school, or in personal relationships, people are apt to be overwhelmed emotionally, creating an inability to look at all the factors involved. Dr Magnan will discuss a method of thinking that can lead to new insights that generate factors and ideas.

The skills deal with the perception of situations that challenge a person’s thinking ability. Learn to generate other points of view and new factors or new alternatives, or a different set of priorities.

Registration for the program is at the library’s website, www.chboothlibrary.org, or by calling the library at 203-426-4533.
