The Horticulture Club of Newtown and The Fairfield County Agricultural Extension Council (FCAEC) will co-host a plant and used gardening book sale Saturday, May 4, from 9 am until 2 pm, at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

The Horticulture Club of Newtown’s annual fund raiser supports the Newtown High School Scholarship Fund providing a scholarship to a local student pursuing environmental studies, horticulture, farming, or earth science studies.

FCAEC is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting and promoting the UConn Extension within Fairfield County. Proceeds from the book sale will be used to support educator programs at the local extension that include Community Nutrition, Master Gardener, 4-H and Urban Agriculture.

There will be lots of plants and hundreds of books to choose from. Organizers suggest early arrival for best selections.
