Thank you to everyone who read my Letter to the Editor last week. Satire has been used as a form of social commentary for hundreds of years. I hope you all enjoyed it.

Although the piece appeared after the April 23 referendum, I should have identified myself as a member of the Legislative Council and noted that the opinions expressed are my own and do not reflect that of the Council.
