The 11th annual Trista’s Ride Benefit is being planned for Sunday, June 23.

Trista Vaughan was a Bethel resident who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2013. Since then, her family has decided to continue the event which originally raised money for Trista and her children, and now continues to fundraise for local families and organizations in need. This year, 100% of proceeds will go to Cristine Padovano, a Bethel mother who is currently battling breast cancer.

Trista’s Ride begins with a motorcycle ride escorted by Newtown Police Department. Participants will meet at the Fairfield Hills campus for a 10 am start. All are welcome.

The ride will conclude at Newtown VFW Post 308, 18 Tinkerfield Road, at 1 pm, where the afternoon will continue with live music by Pop Rocks CT, food from Taco Bachi of Brookfield, and a custom motorcycle show with prizes as well as a raffle with donations from many local businesses.

All are welcome to attend either or both portions of the event. There is a suggested $20 donation, but organizers promise “any help is appreciated.”

For additional information, to donate to the raffle or sponsor part of the event contact Brenton Vaughan at Red Letters Tattoo Parlor, 203-491-2129.

The 11th annual Trista’s Ride Benefit will again benefit a local resident battling breast cancer.
