Two Locations For 3rd Annual Flanders Artistsâ Day
WOODBURY â The public will have the opportunity to view an exhibit in two locations this year of artwork that resulted from the Third Annual Flanders Artistsâ Day.
In May, artists were invited to spend the day on the grounds of the nature center to illustrate in their chosen media what they saw, felt or heard. Last yearâs show featured more than 30 works by 20 artists.
This yearâs collection will first be exhibited in the post-and-beam Flanders Sugar House from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12. The works include drawings, paintings, sculpture and photography, among other media, and will be offered for sale with part of the proceeds to benefit Flanders. A reception for the artists and the public will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm.
The exhibit will then move to Woodbury Public Library, where it may be viewed from June 13 through June 29.
