Cecelia Urban Golino, 53, a longtime resident of Monroe and Newtown, died June 16 in her North Haven home. She was born March 4, 1963, in Danbury, into a family of seven children. She was the daughter of the late Peter P. and Wanda Radozycki Urban.

She was a shining star of breast cancer survivors. She was a dedicated and loving mother and a wife.

Her husband, Thomas Golino, and her beloved son, Michael K. McLaughlin of Newtown, survive her. She is also survived by three brothers and their wives, Samuel and Connie Urban of Newtown, Kenneth and Doris Urban of Newtown; and David and Doreen Urban of Stratford; sister-in-law Diane Urban of Stratford; and many nieces and nephews. Brothers Ronald, Lawrence and Gregory Urban predeceased her.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Thursday, June 23, from 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 24, at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown at 10 am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs Golino's name to a charity of one's choice.
