Residents Sought For Commission Posts

First Selectman Pat Llodra is seeking residents to fill several opening on local appointed boards and commissions. In some cases the appointments are required to be affiliated with a specific political party, while in other cases unaffiliated voters are encouraged to consider serving.

Current openings exist on:

*The Conservation Commission, with one vacancy for a Democrat or unaffiliated voter and one open position available to any registered voter.

*The Hattertown Historic District, with an alternate position available to any registered voter.

*Board of Ethics has a position available to Democrat or unaffiliated voter.

*Commission on Aging, with an alternate position available to a Republican, Democrat, or unaffiliated voter.

*Sustainable Energy Commission, with one position open to any registered voter and a vacant position available to any registered voter.

*The Pension Committee, with a vacant position open to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter.

*Booth Library Board of Trustees, with a vacant position available to a Republican or an unaffiliated voter.

*Fairfield Hills Authority, with an open position available to any registered voter. The last day to express interest is August 14.
