'Conscious Living:' An Afternoon Of Tasting, Savoring & Sipping

Kmar Educational Services, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, will present  its annual event, “Conscious Living: For The Love of Food and Wine — An Afternoon of Tasting, Savoring and Sipping,” at McLaughlin Vineyards, 14 Alberts Hill Road in Sandy Hook, on Saturday, September 12, from 1 to 4 pm. Rain date would be Saturday, October 3.

Guests will enjoy food and wine paring tastings, including gluten-free offerings, by local chefs.

Special guest speaker Paul V. DiGrazia, MD, PHD, and winemaker, will present “Divulging The Medical Mystery of Wines.” A silent suction will also be held, with partial proceeds to benefit Canine Advocates of Newtown.

An art exhibition will feature SPAG Artist Guild of Norwalk. Live jazz entertainment will also be offered.

The afternoon’s master of ceremonies will be Bill Jacquemin, from Connecticut Weather Center.

Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door. Get tickets at Carminuccio’s Pizza, Fairground Wine + Spirits, Newtown and Danbury,  Newtown General Store, Newtown Medi Spa, and Twist of Taste in Monroe.
