To the Editor:

I am calling on all my Newtown Neighbors to unite in their support of our three-term State Representative Mitch Bolinsky in his bid to continue serving us all as our representative for Newtown’s 106th House District.

Mitch is a regular guy and my neighbor. I see him practically every day, whether he’s cutting the grass, waving with a warm smile, or going out of his way to listen and talk. Right now, like a lot of Connecticut residents, putting this state back on better fiscal footing is important to me. As homeowner, owner of three small businesses, and a person who feels taxed beyond the point of sanity, I appreciate Mitch’s candor and optimism about restoring our state’s economic viability and affordability. Knowing he and his colleagues have already overridden the governor’s last two tax increases and have been able to enact a constitutional spending cap give me hope that Connecticut’s tax and spend ways can be changed.

Mitch is a supporter of Connecticut’s real estate business and has been endorsed three times by Connecticut’s Realtors, a trade association that represents thousands of small businesses in the state. I am a member of this group and vice president of the Newtown Board of Realtors.

It’s important to me that Mitch has a concrete plan to save our beautiful state and has the connections to do something about it. He is an Assistant Republican Leader and also serves on the Education Committee, Appropriations Committee, and the Aging Committee. He’s strong for us. All of us.

Mitch gets it. Please join me in voting to re-elect Mitch on November 6. We need his strength, business sense, and conservative fiscal principles serving us in Hartford.

My views are my own and not necessarily those of the Newtown Board of Realtors, where I serve as vice president.
