To the Editor:

Just a reminder that the Registrar of Voters Office will be holding an information and screening session on Tuesday, September 13, at 9 am, in the Council Chambers at the Newtown Municipal Center on Primrose Street at Fairfield Hills. We will be meeting and answering questions for voters interested in working this November 8.

If you are interested, please send an e-mail to lereine.frampton@newtown-ct.gov, so we have an idea of how many will be attending.

We will be having a separate session for high school students wishing to work. We will contact them by e-mail with the details.

To work you must be at least 16 years old and a registered voter in Connecticut. There are plenty of spots and we will be filling all vacancies this month. The registrars would like to join a pilot program if we can get enough volunteers, as well.

If you have worked for us before, please send the e-mail, but you will not be required to attend the September 13 session.

This one should be interesting.
