Connecticut Choral Society is seeking new members for the 2018-19 season.

Auditions will be conducted in the Glover Room of Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street, on Monday, September 17, and also by arrangement.

CCS rehearses weekly at Trinity Church. Registration will open at 7, and rehearsals begin at 7:30.

The group is a diverse mix of singers of all ages and many backgrounds who come together in a musical journey that enhances each member’s vocal abilities, provides an opportunity to learn new vocal techniques, and creates innovative interpretations to inspire and connect with our audiences.

The 2018-19 season will feature holiday classics in CCS’s traditional “Candlelight and Carols” event, a celebration of the genius of Leonard Bernstein, and summer performances in Europe.

This is also an opportunity for aspiring vocalists to sing under the baton of Eric Dale Knapp, a conductor whose talents have been featured on the worldwide stage.

Maestro Knapp currently serves as artistic director and conductor for Connecticut Choral Society and New Jersey Choral Society and is principal conductor for the New American Festival Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall.
