The annual Society of Creative Arts of Newtown 2013 Fall Art Show and Sale will be held at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street, Friday through Sunday, October 18-20. The show will be open, free of charge, each day from 10 am to 5 pm.

The exhibition and sale will benefit the Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN), a regional nonprofit arts organization that provides training and advocates for member artists, and connects the community to the arts.

The three-day exhibition will feature original works by members of SCAN. Artists will be presenting framed works as well as unframed pieces in portfolios.

The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, October 18, from 6 to 8 pm. The reception will offer an opportunity to meet area artists, support the arts, and purchase an affordable piece of original artwork.
