Born in Väckelsång, Sweden, on August 15, 1937, to Anna Magnusson and Karl Fransson, she was raised on the family farm and immigrated to the United States as a teenager, after coming to visit relatives.

Her four children, Carl E. She was predeceased by a brother, Enar Karlsson.

Mrs Fagerholm was a devoted member of the Trumbull Congregational Church, where she served on many boards and committees. For the past 15 years she worked at the Past and Presents Shop, which raised money for the church’s outreach missions. She was previously a homemaker, and medical secretary for Monroe Pediatrics.

She was an avid walker, enjoyed gardening, always looked forward to visiting her siblings in Sweden, and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.

Calling hours will take place at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport, Wednesday, October 16, from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, October 17, at 10:30 am, at the Trumbull Congregational Church, 3115 Reservoir Avenue, Trumbull

For those who wish, donations in Mrs Fagerholm’s memory may be made to the Trumbull Congregational Church, which will be used to further its outreach missions and Memorial Fund.
