To the Editor:

Last year I came off my parent's health insurance. My employer did not offer health insurance that was affordable. Eva Zimmerman came to my home and helped me figure out my health care. Last May, when my son's mother called me to say she had changed her insurance and my son was no longer on it, I again called Eva. She came right out and made sure my son was insured.

That is typical of Eva. She drops everything to help someone else. On the October 15, a Saturday she should have been out campaigning, she was volunteering at the VFW/Art Commission fundraiser. Why? Because my mother told her she needed some help. She didn't think twice; she was just there.

Eva has only been married a short time. Both she and her husband had homes. They chose to stay in Newtown for many reasons - the schools, the people, and the opportunity to be involved. She may not have stayed for the roads, but instead of complaining she served on the committee to see how they can be brought back up to speed. Eva is a doer. She rolls up her sleeves and goes to work. That is who I would like to see represent us in Hartford. My vote is for Eva Zimmerman to represent me in the 106th District.
